Happy Birthday Reagan!!

Yesterday our little girl celebrated her first birthday! It is hard to believe that she has been a part of our lives for a year now but we can not imagine life without her! To celebrate that occasion we had family and a few friends over. Here are just a few pictures.

This is a cool gift that my sister gave Reagan. It is the words to my favorite Rascal Flatts song "My Wish". This song puts into words so much of what I would want her to always know. The first time I left Reagan was to see Rascal Flatts and when they played this song I was a mess!Such a cool gift that she will cherish for a very long time.

Check out her new ride from Grammy and Epa. She has already enjoyed several rides around the neighborhood.

OK so this is one of the most interesting gifts that she got. It is a Rody Horse that you ride but it grows with her, you just put more air in it! You can not tell by this picture but she is in love with it!

Reagan even enjoyed some cake or atleast played in the frosting! She did take a little taste but really didn't like it! Oh well, back to the fruits and veggies for you!

Kyle's graduation

Here are a few pictures from Kyle's graduation

Congrats Kyle!!

My baby brother is graduating from Hamilton Southeastern High School tomorrow and as a present I have been compiling his pictures from birth to present day. It has shown me a few things...

1. My parents were not very organized when it came to pictures which is something I want to be better at. Pictures, I see now, are priceless and something wonderful to have.

2. My brother is a lot younger than me. For example the pictures of me moving into my dorm at Purdue showcase my brother being very little.

3.Time goes by very fast!! Looking at so many memories that feel like yesterday and to realize they were 10+ years ago is just crazy.

So here are a few oldies but goodies I hope you enjoy....

My Great Grandma with her brand new grandson.

Disney World trp playing dress up

Another trip to Disney enjoying fries after a long day!

One of my favorite pics of my dad and brother when he was about 6 months old.

Sisterly love!!

Kyle we are so proud of you!! We know that the path that God has for you is amazing and we pray everyday that you will be true and faithful to that plan. Though we are going to miss you when you make the big move to Florida, we wish you the best of luck at school and in all things in your life! We love you very much, Kyle!!!

Party Time!

Reagan's little friend, Cullen, turned one this last weekend and he had a party to celebrate.
And what a party it was - Lots of fun friends, clowns making balloons and face painting, tons of good food, and a silly safari guy! Reagan really enjoyed watching all the kids and was taking every bit of the animals in. We had to break the news to her though that she was not going to have such a large celebration for her birthday - I know we are such mean parents but hey she is not going to remember her first birthday so might as well keep it simple!

Watching the Silly Safari guy and all his animals.

"Yes KiKi, a car similar to this would be a wonderful birthday gift!"

The birthday boy was a little worn out after all the activities - as you can see here he was eating his cake with his eyes closed and falling half asleep.

Great day for a picnic

We enjoyed a picnic with Sam and Joe on Friday to soak up the sunshine and get out of the house so their mom could get some work done.
The boys had fun running around and climbing on a fence.
I took my eyes off of Reagan for one second and she decided it was time to have her first taste of mud! She had it all over her face and in her mouth! Tasty!
Of course we had to have transportation to and from our picnic so they all rode in the wagon. Needless to say, I had a good workout!

Flowers

For my Grandpa'a memorial service I arranged some flowers for the church. It made me remember how much I enjoyed doing it.

Earth quake in Indiana!?!

OK for those Doll House readers that do not live in Indiana, I wanted to make sure that you were aware that earth quakes can happen in Indiana. Rob and I were awaken this morning around 5:30 and not by Reagan but by the movement of our house shaking! For those of you in California this would not be something that would suprise you to experience but for us it took a few minutes to figure out what happened. It was confirmed on the news that in deed it was an 5.2 magnitude earthquake located in southern Indiana - hard to believe we could feel it so many miles away. Good news it that not really any damage or injuries have been reported. There have been several after shocks but we have only felt one around 11am which was 4.5 magnitude.

On a different note - we are going to be participating in the Race for The Cure event in Indy tomorrow morning, if the rain holds off. My Godmother, Teona, is a 20 year survivor!!!

Trip to Cincy

We took a trip to Cincy to catch a Reds baseball game. We headed over on Friday with hopes of getting out and about but it was rainy so we hit the pool instead and went to a great dinner at Montgomery Inn.

Reagan really enjoys the water so it is going to be a fun summer!

Rob wanted to make sure that he did not get anything on his shirt - looks great!
The best part of the trip was going to a Reds game. The sun was out and we soaked it up. Reagan had a great time checking out the people around her and eating ball park food. She did fall asleep during the 9th inning so she missed the Reds coming back and winning the game.

Reagan and I had lunch with a friend downtown and we visited Rob at his office. Reagan wanted to "type" on Rob's computer badly.

Celebrating....

Yesterday was my Grandpa Ross's birthday and also the day that he went home to be with the Lord. Reagan and I were lucky enough to get to see him early in the day to wish him a happy birthday and tell him we loved him. You could tell that he was not doing very well and I felt in my heart it would not be long. He was not very with it but was able to tell us that he loved us and good bye. We are all very at peace knowing that he is in a better place and he is healed.
So we are celebrating Grandpa - his life and his return home.

Easter Celebration

This last weekend we celebrated Easter with our friends and family. It was a very busy weekend but we all had wonderful time. Saturday we attended church for an amazing service! Then we went to our couples life group and had a great time of fellowship. Sunday Melissa served in the children's ministry and Reagan and Rob spend some time together. We spend the rest of the day eating and visiting with family.

Reagan enjoyed a ride on her school bus after church. She loves to be pushed around on that thing.

This was her Easter dress. BTW she is working on taking some assisted steps, still not crawling yet though. Watch out for a video in the next few days of her latest trick.

Opening an Easter basket. She really enjoyed the bubbles!

Riley gets a bath

One of Rob's jobs around the house is giving Riley baths. The other night he had a very special helper...Reagan was so excited to watch Riley get a bath. Doesn't he just look so pitiful with wet hair?

9 months old....

Reagan is 9 months old today which means it was time for a trip to the Dr. Here are her 9 month stats....
Weight: just shy of 17 lbs. (15%)
Height: 26.5" (17%)
OFC: 16.75" (12%)
Luckily, we did not have to get shots so she was a happy camper. We also got the go ahead with all soft foods. There is a possibility that Reagan has some food allergies due to family history and spilled milk incedent that caused hives all over her body. So...we are going to avoid the major allergy foods (ie. milk, eggs, fish, etc.) until 18 months and peanuts until 3 years old! Poor baby will not have the joy of a PB&J sandwich for a few more years.

New shirt

We got Reagan's free shirt a few weeks ago and we finally tried it on. Looks so cute - a bit big but that means it will last awhile!

Good Birthday Celebration and then the Flu....

We enjoyed a great lunch on Sunday to help celebrate Grandma and Teona's birthday. It was a wonderful time but then the flu hit us! It started Monday night and went on for about 48 hours! She has been wonderful through the whole thing - you would never know she is sick. Today she finally made it without getting sick so hopefully we are through the worst of it.

Uncle Kyle and Reagan the big girl sitting at the table - she was so excited the whole meal.

The birthday girls

The sunshine!! Sunday is was nice enough out that we could take a walk outside. Riley got worn out before we were done so he stole a ride with Reagan.

Today on the way to being better. As you can see she is getting much more blonde hair - just enough to hold a hair bow.
