All my friends...

As mentioned before she is in love with all things Disney....
In February, Ms R and I took a trip to Ft. Myers, Fl to visit my mom and brother. My mom and Teona have a nice condo in a really great area. It was nice to also get to see my brother who lives in an apartment down there. He works at a wonderful club that we got to eat at and meet his friends.
This is the face that Ms R makes when you ask for a silly face. Kyle decided to join in the fun!
The weather was not the best while we were there. We did enjoy sometime outside and a very wind dinner at the beach.
Reagan is in love with Disney and all of the characters so we took several trips to the Disney store for her to have fun.

Children's Museum

For Christmas we got a membership to the Children's Museum and have really been enjoying it. Ms R really enjoys the water and sand areas as well as the dinosaurs.
Our membership is a +2 so that means we get to take friends with us to enjoy the fun. Here is our good friend Caleb enjoying the water table, he was wet from head to toe - such a boy!

Hello are you there?

Rob asked me this week if we were totally done with blogging as it had been so long since our last post. And in my defense, I was sleeping the first few months of 2009! Yes, for those of you who may not be aware Baby Doll #2 is on the way! He or she (we will find out April 22nd) is set to make their debut on Sept 9th. Now I that I have waken up out of my first trimester sleepies and have gotten my house back in order the Doll House blog will be back up and running! More updates of our 2009 to follow....

Shelby memorial fund

In addition to the t-shirt sales, a memorial fund has been set up at all Forum Credit Unions. Here is the info on the two ways you can help them out....
Memorial Fund JEREMIAH PARKER SHELBY Our Brookside church pastor, Aaron Shelby, and his wife Beth welcomed Jeremiah Parker Shelby January 4th then released him to be with Jesus approximately one hour later.....Due to the financial cost of a funeral, two different options have been set up for friends and family to contribute to the family....
1. Memorial Fund
* ALL Donations will go directly to the Shelby Family to cover funeral expenses. If the financial blessing outweighs the cost, the remaider of the proceeds will be forwarded to the trisomy 13 charity of the parents choice.
* Donations are being accepted at all FORUM CREDIT UNION branches. Just go into the branch and give them jeremy's name and tell them it is for a memorial fund....After the funeral services...all money will be released to the Shelby's so please make your contributions prior to that date. All donations will be anonymous.
Here is a link of all their locations... http://www.forumcu.com/locations/default.aspx
2. Fashionthropic T-Shirt in memory of Jeremiah has been designed and about Half of the total cost goes directly to the shelby's to help them cover expenses...This is a GREAT way to help out and have an item to remember him by.....
Also you may check out their blog to be updated on any funeral arrangements...I am sure they will be posting them there... http://www.shelbyfamily09.blogspot.com

Shirt with a good cause

Some great people @ Fashionthropic have put together a "1 loved forever" shirt with proceeds going to the Jeremiah Parker Shelby memorial fund. The shirt reads: in 1 hour he loved perfectly and changed our lives forever / Jeremiah 29:11 passage / Jeremiah Parker Shelby. The shirts are made out of Ohio so there is plenty of time to order and wear to services should you see appropriate. Please feel free to pass this info onto anyone you think would be interested!

This weekend...

So this last weekend was a hard one for the Doll House. Our good friends the Shelby's welcomed a beautiful baby boy named Jeremy and got to enjoy him for a short hour before he went home to be with the Lord. We have been blessed to get to know the Shelby's through our church life group and are inspired by their faith daily. This group means the world to both Rob and I. Check out this post and you will get a feel for what our group is all about. I am putting together meals for the Shelby family so if you are in the Indy area and want to help out email me k3miller@aol.com. Please pray for the Shelby family during this difficult time.

Burrito enjoyment

Well, some of you know about our fondness of Moe's Southwest Grill. Ok well it maybe a bit more than a fondness - at one point we were going a couple times a week. I ate it so much when I was pregnant my family thought Reagan was going to come out mexican! We also got to know the manager well that he gave us a baby gift which Reagan modeled and her picture is still up in the store.

We also love a good deal over at Doll house so we now like to go to Moe's on kid's night so that Reagan can eat free(Wednesday and Sundays). This last week when we went Reagan was so hungry she could not wait for me to get the guts out of her kiddie burrito so she decided it was time to eat her burrito whole. Rob and I just laughed at the sight of her with a big burrito taking bites out of it!

Do your chores

Happy Thanksgiving!!
Ms R has really been interested in "helping out" with things around the house. She is a lot of fun but it takes a bit longer.
Now if I could just get her to do the toliets and I would have it made!

We're back!!!!

So it has been sometime since our last post but give us a break, we have been very busy! In the last 6 weeks we have: moved, celebrated Rob's 40th & Melissa's 28th birthdays, Melissa had her gall bladder taken out, working to finish basement, attended three weddings, one family reunion, hosted Doll side of family for early Thanksgiving, put some furniture, and chased Ms. R all around!! I thought the few Doll house readers would enjoy some new pictures of our life lately.... Thanks for AT&T we got to attend a Sunday night Colts game in the suites! That is the way to watch a game! Gov. Mitch Daniels was in the suite next to us so of course Rob had to talk to him. Ms. R was a Colts cheerleader for Halloween. She just loved it. We also got to meet all of our new neighbors - they had a block party. Lots of kids and fun people! One of my good friends from college, Niki, got married and so I got to catch up with several of my Delta Zeta sorority sisters. These girls are so great and it was wonderful to catch up with them. We also took our first family trip to the pumpkin patch. Ms. R loved the hay ride and she even got her own pumpkin. Rob celebrated his 40th birthday last month and Ms R made a sign for him. I just love this picture of her because she looks like a blur. She no longer walks she runs everywhere and is not stop from the time she wakes up to the time she goes to bed.
When i was putting this post together I realized that we have been very busy but I don't have many pictures to show from it. I promise to be better for all three of our Doll house readers(one of those is Rob) and not let it be so long in between posts and start taking more pictures again. I am also tossing around some ideas of some different post ideas like favorite recipes, crafty projects, etc. to bring more to the Doll house besides pictures of Ms. R. Let me know if you have any suggestions!

We took advantage of the trip and visited lots of locations - Newport Beach, Santa Barbara, Laugna Beach, Mission Viego, UCLA, Venice Beach, and Mariners church. We have a lot of fun relaxing and visiting with lots of family.

Busy time!

We have been very busy enjoying the wonderful weather of the last few weeks and the most excited part has been that we sold our house!! It has been very interesting time but lots going on so I thought I would share some pictures from the last few weeks... We are so excited about our new house! It has everything that we were looking for and it is perfect for our families lifestyle. It is a brand new house that will be completed the first of October which was perfect timing. Here are a few shot of the house.

Lucas Oil Stadium

We got to tour the new home of the Indianapolis Colts this last weekend. It was soooo cool!! Games are going to be so much fun here. We are checking out the opening game this Sunday as the Colts have there first pre-season game at home!

Play ball!

Over here at the Doll house we are a baseball family. Ok well maybe it is not a passion for everyone in the Doll house but it is sure a big part of our lives during the summer. Rob plays in an adult baseball league with his brother on Sunday afternoon. Us girls join him occassionally to watch the game but sometimes it is just too hot to be sitting out there. At their last game of the year we capture a few action shots of Rob and his brother batting and yes, that is Rob pitching.

That's what friends are for

Reagan has been working on her walking but it was not until a play date last week with our good friend Caleb that she really took off. They were great to watch and the day went on they both starting taking more and more steps until they finally walked across the room! Most of the walking was due to them wanting something the other one wanted. Reagan and Caleb are great to watch together - they will be such great friends as they get older!

Here they were enjoying a water table at Caleb's birthday/eviction party (he is getting ready to be a big brother in September so he was getting kicked out of the nursery!)

Shopping adventure

We ran lots of errands on Monday and Reagan was getting a little bored so I have to get creative in getting us through the store...

Trader Joe's has little carts for kids that Reagan had a great time pushing around. Someone had to be with her at all times because she did not want to stop pushing and did not do a great job at directing. Everyone in the store thought she was so cute because the cart was so much bigger than her - they were stopping to talk to her and the employees were taking her picture.

By the time we made it to Costco we had pushed our luck a little too much - she was in need of a nap! So she took a ride in the back of the cart and decided she needed to take a seat on the waters.

Catch up!!

Well, since it has been a month since my last post I thought that it was a good time to catch everyone up on what has been going on at the Doll House.
We still have our house on the market and have had lots of showing but no bites yet. Hopefully, it does not take us much longer because it is not fun getting the house ready and getting Reagan and the dog out the door.
We got Reagan's first birthday pictures taken...

There are so many cute ones it was hard to pick but here is one of my favorites. She did a great job of capturing Reagan's personality and lots of her expressions.
One of the coolest things we did in the last month was celebrate the ground breaking of our building project at church. Everyone during the service got a stake and wrote prayers on them. Then we took them outside and hammered them down along the perimeter of where the new building is going to be.
It was so cool to see all the stakes once it was completed and think about all of the people that will be able to walk through the doors and attend a service in the new santuary.
We also took our first trip to the zoo. Reagan called all the animals dogs and really enjoyed the dolphin show. We got to feed the giraffes.
Reagan has been watching baseball with Rob and wearing his hats.
We enjoyed a visit with Rob's family over the 4th. This is Rob's sister's little girl who is 8 weeks older than Reagan. They really had fun together.
These are her older kids Rachel and Joel. Reagan could also say Joel...it was so cute!
We have made many trips to the park. Reagan mostly enjoys watching the other kids but has really starting climbing on the playground. Here I was trying to get a shot of her in her new shades and yes she does leave them on.
Watching a little league game...we are really serious about baseball in the Doll house!!
Got the two ring pool from Walmart out. She had more fun climbing in and out then actually playing in the water.
Nothin like playing with no diaper on! She has gotten so fast that I turn around to get the diaper and she is gone. We are working on the walking, getting better everyday.
Reagan got her first taste of a popsicle. It was tasty and very messy but what a great summer treat!

I promise to be better about posting - it has just been too nice out to be sitting at my computer.

Happy Birthday Reagan!!

Yesterday our little girl celebrated her first birthday! It is hard to believe that she has been a part of our lives for a year now but we can not imagine life without her! To celebrate that occasion we had family and a few friends over. Here are just a few pictures.

This is a cool gift that my sister gave Reagan. It is the words to my favorite Rascal Flatts song "My Wish". This song puts into words so much of what I would want her to always know. The first time I left Reagan was to see Rascal Flatts and when they played this song I was a mess!Such a cool gift that she will cherish for a very long time.

Check out her new ride from Grammy and Epa. She has already enjoyed several rides around the neighborhood.

OK so this is one of the most interesting gifts that she got. It is a Rody Horse that you ride but it grows with her, you just put more air in it! You can not tell by this picture but she is in love with it!

Reagan even enjoyed some cake or atleast played in the frosting! She did take a little taste but really didn't like it! Oh well, back to the fruits and veggies for you!
