Doll Look-alike Meter

I was really surprised to see that this claimed that Reagan looked more like me - I think she looks just like her dad!

Update...

It has been several weeks since our last post...we have been very busy. Here is a brief update on what has been happening at the Doll House.

Reagan had her baby dedication at church. She did a wonderful job and even smiled when Paster Steve held her up for the church. She looked so cute in her dress - we had to have her wear it again for Christmas eve.

We took a family trip to Ft Myers Florida and enjoyed my Mom's new condo. It was very nice to get away just the three of us and spent a week together. We visited the beach a few times, Reagan took her first dip in the pool, ate lots of food and slept in!

Christmas Eve we spent with my Mom. We started out by going to church together for a wonderful Christmas Eve service and went to Mom's house for our traditional "dinner" of all kinds of finger foods. I just love the traditions we have at Christmas.

We had a lot of family in town and it was so nice to visit with them. Some how though I did not get any pictures of them but here is my sister who we also had a great time with.

Christmas morning was spent at home with a little family time with just the three of us. Santa visited Reagan and brought her a piggy bank so she could learn about saving! Later in the day my Dad, brother, sister, and Rob's brother all came over. My dad wrapped a present for Reagan to open and she had more fun with the paper then the toy.

We headed down to Columbus later in the week to have Christmas with Rob's family. His sister was in town from North Carolina with her three kids. Reagan played with her cousin Lindsey who is just 9 weeks older than her. We could already see that they will have tons of fun together in years to come.
This is our niece and nephew, Rachel and Joel, who were having a little Christmas fun. Even though they live in North Carolina they are big Colts fan so we got Joel a Reggie Wayne jersey and he did not take it off for days.

We have had a wonderful few weeks with family and friends and really enjoyed having Rob off of work but it did wear us out. Reagan's schedule has been thrown way off so we have a rough couple of days ahead of us to get her back on track. This is a shot of her this morning as she looked so peaceful and relaxed while she slept until 9am. (sorry it is bit dark, I turned the flash off as I did not want to wake her up!)

First play date with Caleb

We had dinner with our good friends Chris and Tish Reed and thier little guy Caleb who is 8 weeks younger than Reagan. We had a great time and the two babies enjoyed checking each other out. The two I am sure will be trouble together one day!!

A new trick

Reagan has been working on her ability to sit up on her own. She is doing a pretty good job especially when she has her boppy around her. It will not be long before she is sitting up and playing with all her toys.

Thanksgiving

We did a lot of celebrating with family for Thanksgiving. It was very enjoyable to have lots of good food and time with family!! Here are a few of the highlights...

Hanging out with my Dad

Yes, we had a few snow showers on Thanksgiving so Katlyn had to take Reagan out side to see the snow flakes.

Checking out Rob's dad.
The girl's in my family always go shopping the day after Thanksgiving more than anything to check out all the crazy people trying to get good deals. Reagan got to experience the fun with us for a few hours. We converted her stroller into a cart and she went along for a fun ride!

Hands

I have been fascinated by hands lately. I look at Reagan's hands and try to imagine what God's plan is for her life and what she will be doing in her lifetime with her hands for His kingdom! Hands can also be so healing in so many ways. A few weeks ago one of my dear friends shared that she is fighting breast cancer. The ladies group that I am in with this friend got together and put our hands on her to pray for her during this difficult time. At lunch we all painted our hands and put them on paper as something for Carol to look at as she is going through this journey. She can look at it and remember this powerful time together and also have our hands there whenever she needs our support. It was such an amazing experience and I had to share the picture.

Trip to Orlando

Last week Reagan and I took a trip with my mom and Teona to Orlando Florida. Reagan did so well as a little traveler and it was hard to believe how much you have to pack for such a small person!! Here are some of the highlights...

On the airplace ride there she did wonderful. Took a little nap, looked out the window, laughed at mommy, etc.

We spent a little time on Disney World property. We did not acutally go into the parks but did everything that is free - downtown disney, eat at several of the hotels, rode the monorail, and visited the shops. It is so much fun to just explore the disney properties and really feel like you had a disney experience without having to go into the parks.

Reagan also got her first Mickey Mouse which is in love with. I gave it to her in the store and when it came time to check out she screamed when I took it from her. Here she is checking him out for the first time.

We spent a little bit of time at the pool but not much since it rained a lot while we were there. Here is Reagan all ready to go in her swimsuit and cover up.

But as you can see she never got to get her suit wet, instead she thought it was nap time!

A trip to Florida would not be complete without a visit to the ocean. It was pretty winding and rainy so we did not stay long but we got a feet sandy aleast.

We traveled home on Halloween so Reagan got dressed up. The hat did not last very long.

After a long trip we both caught up on a few zzz on the flight home.
Reagan and I had a great vacation but were very happy to get home and see Rob. We all went over to my mom's house to pass out candy and see all of the kids dressed up.

Cold weather is here!

The weather in Indiana can be so unpredictable! On Monday we hit a record high of 90 and on Wednesday we got down to a high of 57 - that is correct a swing of more than 30 degrees in a 48 hour period!! I have been walking with a girlfriend who has a little boy three weeks older than Reagan a couple of days a week. On Thursday I had to get her all bundle up for the adventure and she was not very happy to have so many layers on.

Talking baby

Reagan's newest trick is talking - she loves to hear herself talk! My favorite part are her faces, she looks like she has some serious things to talk about.

Jumperoo time!!

Today we put together Reagans rainforest jumperoo and tried it out since she able to hold her head up now. She did not know what to think at first and as you can see she is a bit small compared to it. Once the music started she seemed to enjoy watching the lights and licking the seat!

With the addition of this toy, it is official - our house has been over taken by baby things!!

Kate is home!!

Kate returned home from Romania last night and we are happy to have her safe and sound in Indiana!! She had a great time and was able to use her skills to help out several women and children there. After all the travel she is very tired so I was not able to get much out of her yet about her experience but I will try to post some pictures some time this week.

Reagan 3 month photos

Reagan is 3 months old today - how time flies! To help document how she grows over her first year we are having her pictures taken every 3 months. I loved the photographer we worked with for her 3 months pictures. She only charged $95 and then you got a copy of all the shots and a CD with all the pictures on it to make all the copies you want. I would highly recommend her! As you can tell from the pictures she wanted to be a mama's girl. She would scream her head off unless mom was holding her so I was in most of the pictures with her. Here are some of the shots from her photo session this week.

Kate arrives in Romania

My sister, Kate, after about 20 hours of travel has finally arrived in Romania. She is there for a mission trip to help take care of children and mothers. This was such a calling for Kate and a huge step of faith. Please keep Kate in your thoughts and prayers as she is there for the next week being the hands and feet of the Lord. I will post some shots of her once she returns!

So cute

This little girl I swear gets cuter everyday! We just love having her in our lives!!

Brookside Celebration in the Park

Saturday Rob and I volunteered with our life group at Brookside Celebration in the Park. It was a free day for an inner city community that our church works with. We had such a great time - we were in charge of cooking on the grill. This was a such a nice opportunity for Rob and I to volunteer together and we are hopeful to go back again.
Playing a little football with some of the kids

Jenni helping out with the games.

Some of the guys of our group - Andy, little Carter, Chris V. and Rob. We were missing Aaron who is the paster at Brookside so he was busy with organizing things and Chris R. who just had a little baby boy.

We are really blessed with our life group - they are great people to be doing life with!!

2 month check up

Reagan had her two month check up at the Dr yesterday. Dr Gollnick said she looks wonderful!! She did have to get shots which was not fun, she turned shades of red that I have never seen. The medicine upset her stomach a bit and she was very fussy that night but by morning as you can see by the picture she was back to normal. Here are her 2 month stats...

Weight - 10lbs. 4 oz. (30%)

Height - 22.5 inches (47%)

Head - 15 inches (27%)

Rob's 20th reunion

This last weekend we attended Rob's 20th high school reunion in Columbus. We had great weather for spending the day at the park. Rob enjoyed catching up with a few friends and I do believe I was the youngest wife there - something Rob seemed to be pretty proud of!!
We finally got a family shot with all three of us together - isn't is awful it took us this long!

Reagan really enjoyed her first visit to the park. She discovered her ability to make bubbles last week and now is bubble machine!

Mommy's first night out...

My Dad and Step Mom were very kind to come over and watch Reagan for a few hours so that Mom could have a few hours out. (Actually, they were begging to get to watch her!) It was a hard step for me to take but I did it and had a great time. Where you might ask did I go? Well, the state fair of course to see Raschall Flatts!! The fair is a strange place - lots of great people watching to do and any kind of fried food your heart could desire. We really enjoyed ourselves but I was very happy to be back home with Reagan at the end of the night.

Reagan all dressed up for Grandpa to come over.
Can you tell Aunt Kate has been around again?

Kate and I enjoying some pineapple whip after our very fried corn dogs.
Got to love state fair food but not the best place to go when you still losing baby weight!
